The Mission 200 at The Glen: What Happened
On August 9, 2025, The Glen played host to The Mission 200. Kyle Sieg took the wheel of the #28 Ford with Monroe Extinguisher as sponsor. From the drop of the green flag, the car found itself deep in the pack. Throughout much of the race, Sieg battled in the back, navigating traffic, trying to pick off positions.
Then, with 14 laps remaining, the race took a dramatic turn: “the big one” – a multi-car incident that swept up Kyle Sieg’s Ford. As so often happens at road courses when speeds are high and spaces tight, a single mistake or moment leads to chain reaction. Despite valiant efforts, the incident ended any hopes of a late-race charge for Sieg.
